Explore color theory with these mixing colors that are specially formulated to meet the two requirements for color theory: hue purity and colors that are of equal intensity. Students will learn to mix colors and gray tones, keeping track of the formulas as they create the colors. For example: using yellow, magenta, and cyan (YMC), a student creates new color orange with a formula of 330, meaning they used 3 drops of yellow, 3 drops of magenta, and 0 drops of cyan to create the color. Using a similar formula for black and white, they can create gray tones or use the black and white to create lighter or darker shades of color. Student color charts will make a handy reference as they create their own paintings. Set of five includes one 2-oz. squeeze bottle each of yellow, magenta (red), cyan (blue), white, and black.
