For customers in the states of CA, MN, NJ, WA and WI, we are required to charge sales tax. Applicable sales taxes are calculated based on merchandise value and ship to location. If you are tax exempt and are in any of these states, you must be able to provide us with the proper completed state sales tax exemptions forms. To download the correct form as required by your state, please refer to the list below:
Triarco is required to collect and report state sales tax in five states. Every order placed online for delivery within these states, must be reviewed upon receipt. We must maintain a file of Sales Tax Exemption forms in the event of a Sales Tax Audit. If you are new to ordering online and are sales tax exempt, please select "I would like to upload a tax certificate for tax exemption (Optional)" at check out. Your exemption request will be evaluated by our Accounting Department and a revised confirmation will be emailed to you when approved. For orders being paid by credit card or p-card, we authorize the full amount due as a "pending" transaction after we have had a chance to review your order and your submitted tax exemption certificate. Following submission and after your request for sales tax exemption has been reviewed and authorized, you will be contacted if there is a problem with your request for exemption prior to charges being authorized on the card provided.
Shopping and Checkout
Before adding your first item to your shopping cart click through "QUICK VIEW", click on "VIEW FULL DETAILS" of the item. Expand "DISCOUNT QUOTE" by either clicking on "DISCOUNT QUOTE" or the "+". Enter your information and click on "APPLY QUOTE". You will need to do this on the first item. All other items added to your cart will be applied with your quote/catalog discount. Once entered your pricing will be visible during the remainder of your session.
To the left of the product image in your cart, there is an "X". Click on the "X" and the item will be removed from your cart.
Your email address provides us with means of contacting you if there are any questions concerning your order when we receive it. It also allows us to send you tracking information when your order ships.
Yes, Triarco does ship around the globe. Click on "Country Code" located above "Business/School Name" to change the country for your order during check out. Shipping charges based on weight, destination and carrier apply on all export shipments.
Setting Up An Account
Individuals cannot be billed on an open account. We will extend open account terms to schools and other business institutions which can provide us with a federal identification number and banking/credit references. Please call us to request a credit application. 1.800.328.3360.

Invoices are mailed via USPS first class service following shipment. If you need a copy of your invoice emailed, please let us know in the comments box at checkout.

Before you call or write, compare packing slip with merchandise. You may find changes or substitutions already explained, and you won't need to contact us. Invoices come separately by mail a few days after you receive the merchandise. When you call or write, be sure to have all papers concerning the order, including your customer number. Please give name of item, catalog number, quantity, and price, including any special information that you may think necessary. The more details you give us, the faster the adjustment of your order. Return and exchange privileges are granted only upon request, and only on stock merchandise within 30 days of date of invoice. Restocking fees may apply. Triarco orders are filled with merchandise in good condition and carefully packed in our shipping department. Unfortunately, there are occasions when merchandise is damaged during shipment, and it arrives in unacceptable condition. It is best to always check packaging for visible damage at time of delivery - and refuse delivery if carton/packaging is visibly damaged. Please contact Triarco’s customer service department immediately within 10 days of receipt of damaged goods. The carrier is liable for any goods damaged or lost in transit.
IMPORTANT! In all cases, retain original carton and packing materials. For truck shipments, please take photos upon delivery to support any damages while the pallet is in tact and of the damaged cartons.

Triarco® is concerned about our customers' safety and is continuing to work with our suppliers to obtain the currently mandated SDS (Safety Document Sheets) that are to replace the previous MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets). Products bearing the AP seal of the Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc. (ACMI) are certified in a program of toxicological evaluation by a medical expert to contain no materials in sufficient quantities to be toxic or injurious to humans, or to cause acute or chronic health problems. These products are certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with the chronic hazard labeling standard, ASTM D-4236 and federal law P.L. 100-695 and there is no physical hazard as defined with 29CFR Part 1910.1200(c). Additionally, products bearing the CP Nontoxic Seal meet specific requirements of material, workmanship, working qualities, and color described in appropriate product standards issued by ACMII or recognized organizations.
Any product carrying this statement is in agreement with the labeling of the Hazardous Art Materials Act. If the product is found to be nontoxic after a toxicological review has been conducted, then the label does not need any special precautions included. However, if the product is found to carry certain chronic health hazards after a toxicological review is conducted, the information on the label must warn the consumer of those hazards.
Products bearing the CL (Cautionary Labeling) Seal are certified to be properly labeled in a program of toxicological evaluation by a medical expert for any known health risk with information on the safe and proper use of these materials. This seal appears on only 15% of adult materials in ACMI's certification program and on none of the children's materials. These products are also certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with the chronic hazard labeling standard, ASTM D4236 and the U.S. Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act (LHAMA).
The state of California requires a clear, reasonable warning on any product containing chemical(s) shown to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Even if only trace levels of harmful chemicals are contained in a product, a warning is required. Caution is recommended when using any product marked with as Prop 65.
Products bearing the PMA seal of the Pencil Manufacturers Association (PMA) are certified non-toxic and conform to ASTM D4236 specifications. This guarantees that the products bearing the seal are totally free of any toxic substance and are safe for children.
Products bearing the Highly Flammable icon may only be shipped via ground transportation. No expedited shipping will be available on these items.
To comply with the federal government's new/revised rule, 16 CFR Part 1500 & Labeling Requirement for Toy and Game Advertisements, Triarco is required to prominently display the appropriate "Choking Hazard" warning for products, whenever necessary.
Any toy or game that requires a cautionary statement about the choking hazard associated with small parts, balloons, small balls, or marbles must bear that cautionary statement in the product's description.
Below is a key with complete explanations for each of the numbered "Choking Hazard" labels. Please refer to the information in the boxes below whenever you encounter one of the following icons in a product description:
- 1 = Small parts. Not for children under 3 years of age.
- 2 = Children under 8 years of age can choke or suffocate on uninflected or broken balloons. Adult supervision required. Keep uninflected balloons from children. Discard broken balloons at once.
- 3 = This toy is a small ball. Not for children under 3 years of age.
- 4 = Toy contains a small ball. Not for children under 3 years of age.
- 5 = This toy is a marble. Not for children under 3 years of age.
- 6 = Toy contains a marble. Not for children under 3 years of age.
